These 6 images are the final ones selected for printing however I made a video and took more photo’s as well which are supportive material and are nice but just did not make my final selection. These 6 will be installed tomorrow at UNI for assessment along with the end product of the liquified toffee which I filmed as it was poured onto one of the above compositions. I will upload an image of the final installation upon a light box soon and watch this space for further links to video and other photo’s from this shoot.

Response to Ampersands Cafe/Bookstore Padington:
This work should be viewed with the last post in mind. I used the photographs to populate this little book and added items as found in the cafe like napkins with lipstick marks, tea rings and coffee stains, sugar and tea leaves etc… I then added actual pages out of books that were related by the text or image to the chosen site and presented the whole thing inside one of the sandwich packs and stacked the other items on-top and this is how I presented it to the teacher.
This work arose out of a group project that I quickly became obsessed with. I then developed it further (with my team mates approval) into these stacks that you see now. The cast items are made out of paper pulp and concentrated (strong) plunger coffee. The items are a take away sandwich packet and take away coffee cups. Also present is hand made paper from the same paper pulp. I used the paper to make a little hand made book which I will post next.
The work was in response to a cafe/bookstore called Ampersands in Paddington accross the road from COFA. I strongly suggest you check the place out if your in the area, great coffee and incredible food.
